I'm thinking of rebranding:

I've been thinking about changing my username on most stuff that I publish things on, including my pfp. I kinda decided to do this as I think ARCADEZ0 is kinda lame.

I also have so far discovered 2 genres that I could make:

The first one is Rawstyle/Raw hardstyle as it's suprisingly not that difficult to make with unbox, (I've been practicing ever since I failed making "8-Bit panic")

the other genre is Atmospheric, While so far I don't have much practice on it, it doesn't seem like it'll be super challenging, however I will need to practice it before I try publish any song about it, so it'll take a while

A genre that I'm trying but It's not successful:

I have attempted to make dubstep with Unbox, but so far, no hope, It just takes up so much MOD channels. Ever since I made "RUN", I've been optimising my songs (In unbox, so it doesn't lag so much on devices like my phone). Just to have full control over 1 sound, I need 2 MOD channels... So I'll need to find a better way.

I wonder what exactly counts as "My Style":

My style basically is just me clumsily trying random things till it works... However as I stop doing things randomly, I kinda didn't know if what I was making counted as my style anymore... However now, I realise my style was just evolving lol.

Achievements:

During my tests, I've discovered how to make a lot, like for example a Reese bass... (There are no tutorials on how to make them because Unbox is so unheard of)

But that's all I have to say, I don't think I'll make another news post in a while.

I've realised 3 things are making my songs bad.

1 - I don't do mastering

This wouldn't matter in my older songs (The ones from early 2024, I removed them and I plan on revamping them in the future)

However nowadays my songs have got more complicated to make and I've realised some things are inconsistent ESPECIALLY bass volume, the lower the quieter, I realised this once I actually listened to Buzzer II with headphones, I found out how to fix this issue now, so It shouldn't be a problem in the future

However some other stuff I can't really do much about it as Unbox wasn't made to make professional songs lol, so mastering is not really going to be an easy task

2 - Some of my songs are lazy

This is especially true with some of my songs like Crystal hammer and Velocity, I repeat something to much and it feels boring...

In the case of an abomination like 8-bit panic, I took a bunch of samples and fused them together to try make something original, and that was the worst mistake I've ever made in a song, because I didn't understand the genre enough and combined things that shouldn't go together, I also was messing and with distortion and EQ's, which also played a part in ruining it, so I'll retry the genre in the future and give it justice.

I'll try to add some more variety during my songs, that should help with this problem tbh

3 - Unbox is not a professional DAW

This one is kinda obvious, Unbox is very unheard of... and thats because it's one of the many mods of beepbox (Like jummbox) But unlike them, it has enough features to try and make something good out of it, hopefully I can find a genre that is balanced between easy to make and gives out great results.

As of now, I'll just have to keep using it, I've been using it and earlier mods since 2022 and I know how it works a lot, unless I can get something professional like FL studio or Ableton live, (Garageband is out of the question as I don't have an apple device) I won't bother switching to anything else.

However I will use soundtrap abit for songs that need things like a piano and other orchestral instruments as unbox is horrible at those,

As of now I'll keep using this, hopefully I can use it to it's full potential and make masterpieces in the future!

Welcome to 2025

I finally got my laptop back today... but when I checked went to the publish audio section... I saw I got unscouted somehow...

Even though I don't know why... I'm gonna make a few changes to my account

From now on my posting times will be undefined (So that I can make quality songs... My oldest took 4 hours my newest ones are taking a day and it's kinda obvious the more time I spend on a song the better it would be)

I'm going to remove songs that I deem as bad or not good enough (Sorry @MirrorIceBlast it also includes the song which got me scouted in the first place)

I'm also gonna completely stop publishing any art I make here and I'm no longer gonna leave joke songs, tests or anything under quality in the publishing section, even though I know I'm not gonna publish them...

With these new changes that will be done shortly I hope that I'll improve as an artist and will make professional songs in the future... Even though I'm purposefully choosing to not use FL studio, as I kinda proved it was how seriously I take making music to create anything good, for the life of myself I'm not gonna try understand how to use FL studio (Maybe I might in the future.) It's also the fact my parents keep taking my laptop from me because I use it way too much

Do not expect any songs to be published here in a short while - will publish again some time in a month or so

Yes I am aware its 4:30 right now (London time) But I just got scouted! (Actually 10 hours ago but I was working on a video and... downloading pictures of lots of cool looking cars...)

I'll be taking music making more seriously from now on and would only publish good songs that I make!

Hopefully I make some bangers in the future!

I'll also publish some more art projects, mostly for characters in some of the animations I've made and have been planning for my youtube channel... Others just of my pfp... I will be mostly prioritizing songs though

With the help of my sister, she somehow fixed my laptop and I can use it now! I probably should've paid attention to when she fixed it, but I can use it again now! Now I have to catch up on everything I've been unable to do for being unable to use my laptop for a whole week, plus a part of a day because It's Thursday.

Also if your wondering why now my sister decided to fix my laptop instead of a long time ago, she just wants me to play Minecraft with her. Also the touchpad is also working so... I didn't even need a new mouse in the first place, sorry for my parents who have bought me something I no longer need... I still will use it because It's easier than the touchpad

Anyways this should be the last one of these updates I've been posting, I should have no more problems with the mouse or touchpad here on out! :D

Edit: If the touchpad doesn't work on my login I just have to restart the laptop, also the mouse stopped working so I can only use the touchpad now

I decided to try brute force it to work. I turned it on, If the mouse wasn't working, I'll shut down the laptop and try again. I found the computer touchpad works until you log in, where the cursor suddenly disappears and the touchpad no longer works. As for the mouse, it didn't even work once, and after many tries, I got bored...

hopefully it starts to work again soon

It stopped working a few minutes ago... So I've only gotten 4 hours of being able to use the laptop, not even using it because a portion of that time was taken to eat dinner...

atleast I was able to do something on it and that it would start working again (Hopefully)

I have good news

My research was apparently wrong as my mouse started working again? So the drivers in my laptop are ok, the usb port on the laptops end might be the problem. The only problem is, I dont know if it might stop working again... I just need to hope it stays working so that I can get up to speed, also.. I can do my homework finally! This is some good news indeed. I also made a song in the time of being unable to use my laptop, it took twice as long as it usually takes to make a song for me, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it could be.

That concludes this update, now I have to get back to what I needed to do.

edit: I also found out that I wasn't given any homework unlike usual, so... Double good news, since that means I didn't miss any submission time

I got a new mouse and manage to start creating a new song, but then, it stopped working... After some research I found out that it was an out of date driver, if only I knew earlier... Now all I can do is just wait and hope it starts working again... I might be stuck on my Android tablet for a while... Which means its a lot harder to create any songs (still possible) and Impossible to create any videos... (The video editor I use is for computers only as well as what I use to record)

this means throughout this whole six weeks, I won't get anymore done infact, LESS than when I also had to deal with school... Talking about school... I AM COMPLETELY UNABLE TO DO THE HOMEWORK NOW... This is literally a NIGHTMARE!!!

And thats not the worst part... I DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WOULD GET FIXED! I can't just use another laptop... All my data and stuff is all on the laptop I use, using another would mean I will have to abandon everything on my laptop... Also If your wondering... I did get a new USB port for the mouse which is now just as useless as the mouse... Also, I can't even play the one game I play the most, GD... It's not available for my device... Well... Just 2.2, and I don't want to ask my parents to get me the game for the 4th time... I am now unable to use Blender... And while I don't have that much experience 3D modelling, it's still fun...

And there is many other problems caused by this catastrophe... But for the sake of my own sanity... I would just have to adapt to this for the time being... Hopefully this doesn't go on for too long...
